Adaptive and Coding Modulation (ACM) Solution
|
|
Important
Customer Benefits with the
Allgon Microwave "Adaptive Coding and Modulation" (ACM) functionality
Allgon Microwave has developed the ACM functionality, which
adapts,
with no errors in the payload, both coding and modulation to the
path propagation conditions in order to maximize the
capacity-availability ratio. This increases the availability of the
network and enables the use of smaller antennas.
With steps in coding rate as well as
modulation, the customer
get small quantization steps of the BER 1E-6 threshold which gives maximum capacity for the instantaneous fading level.
The change in modulation and coding is
automatic almost instantaneous and without any bit errors. The
adaptation to the atmospherical conditions is flexible with adjustable
margin to the BER 1E-6 threshold and is software configurable.
